A few kilometres away from Palermo stands one of the most astonishing monuments of Arab-Norman architecture. The building’s on the slopes of Mount Caputo, at a height of over 300 meters: it’s Monreale Dome. A sacred place whose history dates back to many years ago. It hosts numerous art treasures such as amazing mosaics and chapels of incommensurable beauty.
