Would you like to have an excursion on the big sicilian volcano, even though you are in Cefalù? No problem! We have planned a tour by Jeep on Etna starting from Cefalù. Join us and have an unforgettable day as you get to the north side of Etna to go hiking at an altitude of up to 2000 metres. In order to get to the volcano, we will be travelling along roads that will give us a chance to admire the different kinds of landscape that characterise the Sicilian hinterland and the opportunity to observe wild free-roaming animals among hills and mountains that offer breathtaking views. Once we get to Piano Provenzana, our experienced guides will lead you throughout an exciting hiking adventure among lava flows, extinct craters and volcanic caves. On our way back, even more excitement will await you as we will take a break in the highest municipality in Sicily!

The jeep tour starting from Cefalù includes:

Jeep tour itinerary:
- Departure from Cefalù at 7:30 am
- Short coffee break/refreshments among the Nebrodi Mountains
- Once we get to Piano Provenzana, we will get off the Jeeps and proceed on foot along lava paths in order to get to Monte Nero, at an altitude of about 2000 metres
- Lunch break in order to have a local-product based picnic in contact with nature (in dedicated equiped areas on Etna)
- Once our on-foot excursion is finished, we will get in the Jeeps in order to go back to Cefalù and, over the course of the ride, we will stop at Floresta, the highest municipality in Sicily
- Arrival in Cefalù is scheduled at about 6:00 pm

FAQ - FREQUENT QUESTIONS
Yes, it does. During our journey, we will take a short middle-course coffee break. If necessary, it is possible to take additional breaks according to the route and time at our disposal.
On Etna, it is always recommended to wear closed-toe shoes, possibly technical hiking shoes. Moreover, it is appropriate to dress “in layers” and wear an anorak to be able to face any temperature changes and windy weather at a high altitude.
Considering the length of the route that leads to Etna from Cefalù and the time it takes to do the activities we have planned, it is not possible to delay departure and/or anticipate the return time to go back to Cefalù. Under exceptional circumstances, schedule changes may be agreed and made accordingly upon request during the booking process.
