Spend three days on a sailboat from Marzamemi to Syracuse, passing by Portopalo Di Capo Passero, the Vendicari Nature Reserve and Fontane Bianche. It is a boating weekend sailing along one of the most amazing stretches of coast in Sicily, an unmissable opportunity for those who wish to sail driven by the wind among marine reserves, ancient fishing halmets, small, pristine islands and breathtaking coves! We will depart from the port of Marzamemi and sail southwards in order to get to the gulf of Portopalo Di Capopassero first, and then sail down as far as Isola delle Correnti. From the southernmost point, with a following wind, we will resume our navigation by sailing towards Syracuse! It’s time to explore the Vendicari and Plemmirio Nature Reserves, passing by White Fountains’ Bay. As we enjoy an aperitif, make a toast, snorkel and dive, we will get to the Ortigia Island that will welcome us with its fascinating Maniace Castle; there, you can get of the boat and visit the old town. Subsequently, another exciting day will await us, we will set sail once again southwards heading to Marzamemi, we will make a stop and take another break, enjoy yet another dive and make a toast at sunset, wishing for this holiday never to end!

Sailboat weekend itinerary from Marzamemi to Ortigia:

Day 1:
- Departure from the port of Marzamemi
- Navigation southward to discover the Portopalo Di Capo Passero coast with a relaxing bathing break, during which to admire the old tuna-fishing nets, Tafuri Castle and the Capo Passero islet
- Light lunch on board
- Navigation progress towards the southernmost point of Sicily, Isola Delle Correnti (The Island Of Currents) in order to get to Punta Delle Formiche Bay
- Toast at sunset and dinner on board
- Overnight stay on board

Day 2:
- After waking up, we will set sail once again northwards, as we admire Marzamemi Village and St. Lawrence (San Lorenzo) Coast
- First relaxing bathing break with the possibility to go snorkeling and explore the depths of the Vendicari Nature Reserve (which covers more than 1.512 hectares)
- Light lunch on board
- Navigation progress northwards to coast the Plemmirio Nature Reserve and get to Ortigia
- Possibility to have dinner on board or get down on land and have dinner in the old town of Ortigia
- Overnight stay on board or at the Marina Of Ortigia

Day 3:
- We will leave Ortigia and set sail southwards until we get to White Fountains’ Bay where we will take a relaxing bathing break
- Light lunch on board
- After lunch, we will sail until we get to Marzamemi

 FAQ - FREQUENT QUESTIONS

The sailboat tour can be arranged every day of the week.

In case weather/sea conditions do not allow departure  and/or the  normal development of the sailboat weekend activities, the cruise may be cancelled or postponed to a different date by mutual agreement. In case of cancellation, any amounts already paid as a deposit will be fully refunded. If weather/sea conditions should get worse during the experience, it will be at the captain’s discretion to decide whether and how to continue the sea voyage by charging passengers only up to the amount of the services enjoyed (according to the conditions stated in the charterparty). 

No, the chef on board is not included in the fee. When on a boat, it is usually desirable to use a collaborative approach and also share cooking moments. In any case, during the booking process, it is possible to request a dedicated professional figure to take care of meal preparation on board at an extra cost.

No, galley is not included in the package deal and guests ought to provide themselves with food and beverage. Upon request, it is possible to come to an agreement on the best dedicated solutions in order to manage expenditure charged to the guests, so that food and beverage may be found already aboard upon boarding.
